What is Lean start?

A lean start launches the smallest credible version of a service business that can win and complete a paid job safely and legally for a real customer.

Why it matters

A lean start protects cash by testing real demand before buying for future scale. It still includes the tools, insurance and standards required to serve a customer properly. The saving comes from postponing capacity, polish and convenience that the first jobs do not need.

How to use it

  1. Define the first service you can sell and deliver well.
  2. Buy only what that service requires.
  3. Use existing space or equipment where safe and suitable.
  4. Add capacity after paid demand makes the need visible.
